Get To Know The Five 40 Roller Girls

Formed in late 2011, the Five 40 Roller Girls roller derby league (Five 40) call Fredericksburg, Va home, representing their hometown pride by capturing the Fredericksburg area code in the league name.

Five 40 is a non-profit league run entirely by the skaters, who contribute their free time and talents to manage every aspect of the league. We are currently seeking skaters, referees, Non-Skating Officials (NSOs) and volunteers. Five 40 host Fresh Meat where new skaters can learn the skills and join the team once a year, be sure to like Five 40 on Facebook for Fresh Meat notifications.

Currently, Five 40 holds practices and bouts at Golden Skate World in Fredericksburg, VA!    

Five 40 skates under the Women’s Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA) rule set and is currently aspiring to be an official league. In January 2014, Five 40 was accepted as an Apprentice affiliate of the WFTDA.

WFTDA (Women’s Flat Track Derby Association), is the national governing body for women’s amateur flat track roller derby and is comprised of skater-owned and operated leagues nationwide that have united to lead this growing sport.
